Talk:TP-LINK Archer A5 v4.x

The firmware file Archer_A5v4_EU_0.9.1_0.1_up_boot[171218-rel71344].bin from Archer A5(EU)_V4_171218.zip looks to be for a MediaTek-based device to me, not Qualcomm Atheros. It contains MT7612_ap and mt_wifi_ap wireless drivers as well as rt_rdm and raeth which come from MediaTek's acquisition of Ralink, I assume. It also contains the following radio firmwares?

  • MT7612E_EEPROM.bin
  • MT7628_AP_2T2R-4L_V15.BIN
  • MT7628_EEPROM_20140317.bin

My mistake, I was confusing it with the similarly named Archer A7 that I had looked at independently (that one does not have a page yet).

No worries. The Archer A7 is mentioned on the TP-LINK Archer C7 v5.x page since they are identical.--Dave (talk) 10:35, 27 June 2018 (EDT)
