Wireless-AC3200 Tri-Band Gigabit Router

Product page  • PR on Asus PC DIY

While not really represented well in the infobox, this is a tri-radio device - all radios
(2x 5GHz [11an+ac], 1x 2.4GHz [11bgn]) used are (FullMAC arch. targeted) BCM43602.

BCM43602 is supported in the mainline Linux kernel by brcmfmac.

Announces the XStream platform (which seems to be BCM4709 + 3x BCM43602),
which is touted as Penta Core (each BCM43602 radio embeds a small processor
to allow for FullMAC operation, BCM4709 remains same dual-core Cortex A9 SoC)

The block diagram shown @ SNB indicates each BCM43602 includes
its own @ 320MHz Cortex R4 processor (along with 940 KB RAM).
