Hi there - i've been a viewer of this site for a while but only just registered and begun to edit (though a wikipedia user for over a decade). I've made some changes which I believe are in the best interests and are more correct, however if i've done something that is clearly incorrect, are you able to inform me what? Sorry but you are incorrect - the DSL-AC88U is the same unit as the DSL-AC3100. The DSL-AC88U is to the DSL-AC3100 as the DSL-AC68R is to the DSL-AC68U, the difference is for retail/pricing purposes. The AU DSL-AC88U (and the AU DSL-AC68R) are chiefly available for purchase from Harvey Norman Australia so they technically don't have to price match. The AU DSL-AC3100 (and the AU DSL-AC68U) are available for purchase from other retailers in Australia. As well as being 100% sure of this, the two purchase links prove it. Practically every owner including myself at Whirlpool AU forums has the DSL-AC88U due to the availability of a great price match (details in the thread). I hope I've cleared that up for you. Why do you think that the DSL-AC88U is officially only for EU/UK? The AU DSL-AC88U product launch was 11 September 2017 confirmed by Asus press release and distributed through announcements at AU websites like this. Then for the first few months following 11 September 2017, the DSL-AC88U was available from Harvey Norman AU retailer exclusively, with the DSL-AC3100 only appearing in the past month or so.
