How to check and/or update firmware/kernel versions for Intel WLAN?

Hi there - I notice you added the firmware/kernel version warning at Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 9260 (9260NGW). I have just purchased and installed this chip in my new Asus X411UA laptop along with Intel PROSet/Wireless software and drivers v20.90.0 for Windows 10 x64. I can't seem to find anything on google as to how to check the firmware/kernel versions or how I go about updating the firmware/kernel. Can you point me in the right direction please?
