Food for thought

I am wondering if this should be moved to WikiDevi:Brand Specific. Its atarting to carry more than just networking devices. Or should others be created for non networking devices/ ie.. WikiDevi:Computers/Hardware Specific or WikiDevi:Electronics/Hardware Specific. --DarkShadow --DarkShadow (talk) 19:53, 10 June 2016 (EDT)

-- Well, it will be possible to make a separate section on other devices, so it's not mixed up in a heap :)
-- But first will have to finish the already started business with the addition and transfer of information ;)

Redirect

Why arrange leapfrog here redirect categories? -/
Long marketing name only relevant in advertising and press releases :D
Yes, and the exact names of the companies can be found in the same wikipedia ;)

--- All depends on what the user searches for, Many misspellings and missed capitalization.

- Now still I find incomprehensible duplication of pages with a prefix such as "Page_name#_7cd6533578..."
- Thus overestimated the counter device in 2 times: WikiDevi:Network/Hardware Specific/SMC
- It is unclear whether this is due precisely to redirect categories or pages .. Hint!
- P.S. When you select the model or interface counter comes back to normal: 223 >> 137 devices Model

yes i seen this too, but it has nothing to do with redirects. That is all part of semantic mediawiki. It does not query redirects. It technically was supposed to be a replacement for categories.

further more the devices on my wiki are filed as SMC Networks not SMC. --DarkShadow (talk) 17:39, 15 June 2016 (EDT)
Tonze is another example, there is nothing of what you are concerned about with yet it still shows diff number of device than actually is.

So what fixed it? Can you give more information than just fixed? If the changes didn't fix the problem, I see no reason for the changes, much less for it to be marked fixed. --DarkShadow (talk) 00:50, 16 June 2016 (EDT)

- All devices counters are now showing real values. Supplemented the earlier information P / S (Model :: ~ *)
--Omega (talk) 09:54, 16 June 2016 (EDT)

I don't think it's working, MTN shows 3 devices on the counter, but shows 6 on the list. --DarkShadow (talk) 10:42, 16 June 2016 (EDT)

- Fixed. Refresh: MTN --> 8 devices, Nexxt --> 9 devices ;)
