FCC documents also list the Netgear EX6400v2 and explain the differences as follows,
- "The listed models are electrically and mechanically identical.
- The intention of these models is only for RF output transmit antenna
- (EX7300v2 2.4G: 4T4R; EX6400v2 2.4G: 3T3R) and different NETGEAR logo
- (EX7300v2 has silver coating. EX6400v2 has no silver coating) purpose."
Despite retaining the AC2200 label of the first Netgear EX7300 in its marketing material,
- FCC documents claim that the Netgear EX7300v2 can now support 600Mbps for
- 2.4GHz 802.11n which suggests that it implements four spatial streams.
One of those four spatial streams is presumed to be disabled and its corresponding
- antenna removed in the Netgear EX6400v2.
