ORiNOCO brand

  • Wi-Fi products sold by Lucent / Agere during the early days of 802.11 generally carry the ORiNOCO brand.
However, the ORiNOCO brand / product line was acquired by Proxim in 2002 where it remains in use to this day.
Aside from the Proxim 8420-WD and Proxim 8421-WD (Gold / Silver HERMES II cards), no subsequent ORiNOCO products used Agere's chipsets.
