Error after edit any page

For some time recently revealed unpleasant feature.

After you edit any page, it disappears from the device searches and does not appear

in the related tables on your page in the tables manufacturers.

So you have to manually press the "Refresh" and then update it to normal display tables.

After the recent major changes had to perform these procedures for all pages, so do

not get carried away too much editing to correct this unfortunate misunderstanding.

Sample pages of these problems:

User talk:DarkShadow

I see it now, Have tried disabling all gadgets and tried all 3 major browsers, all with same result. Unsure where the problem is.

--  DarkShadow   talk    contribs   08:40, 21 November 2016 (EST)

Have also tried anonymous editing from another PC and it still does it so I cannot be the only one this happens to.

Proposal

Only device pages in main namespace?

--  DarkShadow   talk    contribs   10:19, 4 November 2016 (EDT)

I don't really have anything against that. Company pages could probably go into their own separate namespace. Same with documentation / query pages / whatever else.

It's not really a priority issue though.

Template for general SoC information

Hi,

can you please create template for general SoC/Chips information which is common for different kind of Chips. For example: Vendor, Name, Revision, Size, Package type, Recommended operation conditions (temperature, voltage?), solution target? (automotive, industrial, consumer..)

First i would apply it for known SoCs Atheros AR9271, AR9331, AR6103.. and so on.

Currently i do research on Automotive and Industrial so it will be useful for other too.

Thank you! --Fishor (talk) 10:26, 1 May 2017 (EDT)

Unauthorized copying of "List of TCP and UDP port numbers"

The article List of TCP and UDP port numbers is missing legal attribution here at WikiDevi, and you seem to have been responsible for substantially duplicating the article from English Wikipedia. There's a talk page discussion at enwiki on the article talk page.

Also, what the hell is up with WikiDevi:Copyrights etc? Seems to be copied too and makes references to Wikimedia Foundation, etc. 84.250.17.211 11:48, 24 January 2018 (EST)

I've removed it.

The wiki is an un-maintained disaster. I would know, as I am the admin - though, on a many-year sabbatical from more or less everything involving it (and with good cause!).

DarkShadow would seem to have added considerable amounts of material from Wikipedia that serves no useful purpose here. I'm not really sure why, but, yes, anything directly lifted without proper attribution should certainly be removed or properly attributed.

That being said, I'm not sure WikiDevi will be online for much longer anyway, so it likely does not matter significantly.

:( I've learned so much here. This site is an incredible resource and I hope it can remain online! --Dave (talk) 00:04, 25 January 2018 (EST)
WTF? m:Avoid Copyright Paranoia :) How long will it all still work? :\
--Omega (talk) 06:05, 25 January 2018 (EST)
I don't know. I didn't say *I* was taking the site down (though, it could happen, who knows). All the data needed to set up a clone / mirror is @ the Internet Archive. If more edits are made, the content there can be updated.
Also, is a TCP and UDP port list really needed here? Why not simply link to the *actively maintained* list @ Wikipedia. If more in-depth information about native router firmware was added *maybe* (or anything device related), but programmatically, and that would be more work.
If there's anything additional, you can probably move it to my talk page.
--M86 (talk) 13:49, 25 January 2018 (EST)

I totally understand. I apologize, I used wikipedia pages as a base and modify it to fit the wiki here. I never got around to it.   DarkShadow   talk    contribs   22:10, 25 January 2018 (EST)

Serial Num. Prefix: adsf ??

--Omega (talk) 15:16, 23 February 2018 (EST)

It's set to 'asdf' in the wikitext. It looks like you changed it from 'CGNE'. I meant to change the property type, but I screwed up - it's moved to 'Serial number prefix', however.

Problems Adding Data or Editing with Forms

(Ex: Tenda AC6) at the top of a page results in page without any edit boxes.
--Dave (talk) 10:01, 23 February 2018 (EST)
This is quite an old problem ... See also:
--Omega (talk) 12:15, 23 February 2018 (EST)
Those seem to be different issues but I have fixed the issue that I was having by using the <nowiki>
tag instead of HTML escaping the characters as described here
--Dave (talk) 13:01, 23 February 2018 (EST)

Sorry, I forgot the transition to Page Forms broke everything. Thanks for fixing the existing forms.

--M86 (talk) 14:10, 23 February 2018 (EST)
OK' Fixed. Thanks for solving two other problems. :)
--Omega (talk) 14:50, 23 February 2018 (EST)
The second one says that it was Fixed and I don't have the problem described by User:Bojack
--Dave (talk) 15:14, 23 February 2018 (EST)

  • Drop down lists when using form to add items seem to be entirely broken.
After selecting item in the dropdown the list doesn't disappear and I can no longer edit other items on the page.
  • Page preview no longer works when using forms to add items.
--RayKnight (talk) 23:23, 22 March 2018 (EDT)
I had the same problem using dropdowns and page preview on forms with Mozilla FireFox since the upgrade to MW 1.30.
Google Chrome does not have these problems for me.
--Dave (talk) 08:41, 23 March 2018 (EDT)
Likewise, I can replicate on Firefox and not on Chrom(e/ium). Would assume it is simply a Page Forms quirk, ATM

Toshiba WLM-20U2

Respected, need Win10 driver for Toshiba WLM-20U2. Can you be so kind and please help me. Tried driver that you provided on this page "https://wikidevi.com/wiki/Toshiba_WLM-20U2", but does not work with this my dongle.

When I insert it it says:

Toshiba wiki 1.jpg

And when click on properties/details/Hardware IDs, it says:

USB\VID_0930&PID_0A08&REV_0202
USB\VID_0930&PID_0A08

And on "Events" tab it says:

Device USB\VID_0930&PID_0A08\12345 was configured.

Driver Name: null
Class Guid: {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}

I'm not the 'driver fairy', but, you should be able to edit the .inf file of the driver (though, there may be a more recent ar7010 driver set [esp. for win10], I dunno) to include the USB ID you have referenced. It should be a fairly simple process - just copy and paste the device entry of another AR7010+AR9280 device and change the USB ID to 'USB\VID_0930&PID_0A08' or whatever.

I know the Panasonic N5HBZ0000055 worked with the driver set.. and that too is a WLU5080 (though, a Askey WLU5080-D81). --M86 (talk) 12:45, 27 March 2018 (EDT)
